Digitizer entry is easily performed in FishBC 3.0. As
you can see the Digitizer interface is getting a face lift
with the patch, therefore
we will not spend any time here discussing the old window.
If you currently have the old Digitizer window please
consult the help facility within FishBC.
We have moved from an interface using text boxes to one that
utilizes a spreadsheet to hold and enter data. The first row
and column (gray colored) are reserved for headings and arrows that
indicate what cell your measurement will be place in.
There are toolbar items available to move to the target cell
to different rows
and columns.
As mentioned in the discussion of the
patch,
FishBC was originally compatible with only serial port
digitizers. These digitizers are quickly becoming obsolete
and there have been several requests to add compatibility
with newer USB digitizers. With the
patch, FishBC 3.0 is compatible
with any USB digitizers that utilize the Wintab32 driver.
The Wintab32 driver is a standard established for the
communication between software and digitizers. If you
are unsure if your digitizer is Wintab32 compatible consult
the manufacture. If you receive the patch and find
that your USB digitizer does not work with FishBC 3.0 please
consult the FishBC author at the
support page. We will do our best to resolve any
compatibility issues.
See the table below for a list of compatible digitizer.
The Wintab32 compatible encompasses many digitizer models
and would not be practical to list them all here. |
