Error 234fnf:
You
received this error because FishBC can not find the folder for run-time data.
This folder is required and if this folder does not exist FishBC will not
function correctly. By default the run-time data is located in the hidden
Application Data folder. If you are using an operating system prior to
Windows 2000 or the "SHFolder.dll" was not properly loaded you will receive
"Error 234fnf:"
To resolve
this error you will need to create a folder for FishBC runtime data to be stored
and specify it in a text file saved in the FishBC application directory.
The FishBC application directory is the folder where you loaded FishBC, by
default it is "C:\Program
Files\FishBC 3.0". Follow the steps below.
-
Create a folder called "FishBC"
in a directory you have permission to access and save files, for example in
the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\"
-
Create a text file in notepad
named "savep.txt" and type the path to the folder you just created for
example "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\FishBC" without the quotes.
An example "savep.txt" text file can be downloaded below. Right click on the link
below and click
"Save Target As..."
savep.txt.
-
Save the "savep.txt" text file
with the directory you created in step 1 typed into the first line to the
FishBC application directory, by default FishBC was loaded in the
"C:\Program Files\FishBC 3.0" folder.
-
Start FishBC 3.0 as normal.
The default settings will be created upon startup.
